That's fine with me too. 'dig' doesn't need to be an acronym in my opinion.

On the other hand, it will be a bit easier to start cleaning up all
the references to the (old) acronym expansion if either a new acronym
was used or if there was an official public announcement that 'dig' is
no longer an acronym.
