Well, I read the code, and it looked reasonable, but I don't know the
language it's written in, so there could easily be subtleties that I
would've missed.  I haven't tried a test install, but I assume you
have... and I would definitely like a more up-to-date installer.
Based on that, I think it's a good idea and well worth pursuing
further.
