I took a quick look at this issue and from that it appears this is a feature
we haven't added to v6 clients yet.  I don't see the calls that I would
expect to be used to process the prepend (or append) statements in
the v6 code.

I'm hoping we will have time to work on this in the near future but
can't promise anything until we've figured out our ticket list for the
next release(s).
