I did sent new patches that time but have not noticed patches were not included, because I am not original bug author. I modified it again, this time also removing libidn. I know it was never accepted in BIND. Still I send all three patches. First two add support for libidn and libidn2. Third is optional and removes again libidn support. We do not require libidn support anymore if libidn2 would be supported. It handles IDN 2008 and IDN 2003 in transitional mode. Non-squashed commits are available at https://github.com/pemensik/bind9/tree/feature/dig-idn2 Would such patch be acceptable?
