First, we have changed the value of DHCLIENT_DEFAULT_PREFIX_LEN from 64 to 128. This macro, in includes/site.h, determines the default value which is passed into the client script. The value of 128 is more in line with the views expressed by the IETF. Secondly, we have added a command line parameter to dhclient: ---address-prefix-len. This allows you to specify a value of your choice at runtime should you need a value other than 128. We felt these changes were the most appropriate approach and hope you find them useful. We like to thank our contributors by citing them in our release notes. If you would like to recognized in this fashion, please respond with how you wish to be identified. Sincerely, Thomas Markwalder ISC Software Engineering
