Subject: improved mips performance in atomic ops

From: "LaMont Jones" <lamont@canonical.com>
This patch has been kicking around in the Debian tree for quite some time. It would be wonderful to be able to drop the fork. lamont

Thanks. I don't know if we have a MIPS box to check this?

LaMont Back in March you submitted a patch to us for improved MIPS performance in atomic operations. I'm pleased to say that we have accepted the patch and it will be appear in the upcoming BIND 9.11.0. (It has been included in the beta-3, due out shortly. We expect 9.11.0 proper to be released next month.) It will also be included in the next maintenance releases of BIND 9.9 and BIND 9.10. Thank you for your interest in BIND. Stephen Morris
